fægnian mid folmum         on gefean ælcne;
beorgas blissiað,         beacen oncnawað,
for ansyne         ecean drihtnes;

forþon he eadig com         eorþan to demanne.
He ymbhwyrft         eorþan demeð
soðe and rihte,         and his syndrig folc
on rihtnesse         ræde gebringeð.
