ða se wisdom eft         wordhord onleac,
sang soðcwidas,         and þus selfa cwæð:

hadrost of hefone,         hræðe bioð aðistrod

forðæm hiora birhtu         ne bið auht
to gesettane         wið þære sunnan leoht.
