Ostrander Lake at about 8500 ft. and Horse Ridge above it is at the 'end of the trail' from Bridalveil Creek, half a mile off the Glacier point road. The trail ends at a ski hut on the lake's north eastern shore. However, it is a great walk to climb Horse Ridge, through the fault in the cliff line, and head south east till you pickup the Buena Vista trail, where you can head south west down to Chilnualna Fall and then on down to Wawona. The Horse Ridge area is a beautiful and isolated area, you are very unlikely to see anyone in summer.
